  • The library of Duliajan College is an open access library, with free access for all the members of the library.
  • The working hours of the library are from 9.00am to 4.00pm in all working days.
  • Apart from the normal working days the library shall also remain open during the semester breaks.
  • One non-transferable library card will be issued to each member for lending home the books.
  • Number of books that will be issued per member at a time:

  • Members Maximum no. of books to be issued per student Books can be kept in custody for
    H.S. Students 2 (Two) books 15 days
    U.G. Students(Major) 4 (Four) books 15 days
    U.G. Students(Core) 4 (Four) books 15 days
    PGDC Students 2 (Two) books 15 days
    Teaching Members 8 (Eight) books 60 days
    External Members 2 (Two) books 15 days
    Non-Teaching Members 2 (Two) books 15 days

  • Besides books previous years question papers, magazines are issued to user on discretion of the library authority.
  • Rare books, Reference books, Journals may not be issued.
  • The Librarian may recall any book from any borrower at any time if such circumstances arise.
  • On justified ground the Librarian may refuse issuing a book to any borrower without assigning any reason thereto.
  • In case of loss of a library card the borrower must report immediately to the Librarian who shall issue a fresh card after receiving satisfactory explanation and payment of Rupees 30/-.
  • If readers not return the book within stipulated time a fine of Rs. 1.00 (one) per day up to 15(fifteen) days and Rs. 2.00(two) per day thereafter will be imposed.
  • Books may be renewed on request on decision of the library authority.
  • If a reader loses or damages a library book, he/she will be required to pay double its price along with the usual late return penalty.


  • The students must be in college uniform in the library.
  • The students must produce their identity cards and library card at the time of borrowing and returning books.
  • Students are not allowed to take personal belongings (except small purses) into the library.
  • Decorum and silence should be maintained by the students within the library premises.
  • Students must acquire library clearance certificate from the librarian before declaration of their Final Result. It is mandatory for all students to produce library clearance certificate to obtain Mark-sheet and Pass certificate.
  • The students are liable to punishment and fine if they misbehave or damage the book/any other property of the library.
  • Borrowers must check for any kind of marking/mutilations are detected, it is their duty to bring it to the notice of the library staff at the counter and get it recorded to avoid penalty at time of return of the book.
